Our History...
They say that the best stories start when no one is expecting it. Ours was born on the eve of Carnival, on a beach in Rio de Janeiro. Between an iced mate, boiled corn, grilled curd cheese and a dip in the sea, a Portuguese and a Brazilian crossed paths.
The conversation flowed to the rhythm of the waves, laughter and contagious energy of the Marvelous City. In between, a simple question arose: what if we took a little bit of this Rio to Portugal? It was there, with feet in the sand and a full heart, that Crias do Rio – Rio de Janeiro was born.
Since that day, our mission is to make Portuguese beaches feel the warmth, color, passion and joy of Rio. Each bikini, beach cover-up and accessory carries a little of the carioca soul, designed for those who live the summer with lightness, confidence and good energy. Because we believe that fashion also tells stories and ours started in the most beautiful way: with an unlikely meeting, a shared dream and a little piece of Rio ready to cross the Atlantic.
